Evaluation of Final Product
^^^^ THIS IS THE FINISHED PRODUCT ^^^^
PERSONAL POINTS FROM ME:
Positives -
Mise-en-scene - I like how regular the setting is, it makes it much more believable. Plus the fact that they are at a bus stop makes it more mundane and boring, the added spice of beat-box poetry really adds to the normality of the area.
Camerawork - I think that there is a good range of shots, zoom, pan, long, mid and close. Also I think that each shot is right for what's being said on screen, nothing seems too out of place.
Editing - I think that everything flows really nicely, also I think the credits are good with the beat and the "eurrghh"
Sound - I think that we have done very well with the dubbing, I actually prefer it to be a bit out on this, I think it adds to it. Though not much of it is that out of sync really babe.
Negatives -
Mise-en-scene - There are a few continuity errors, the main being Angelo having his bloody hood up and down in consecutive shots, though it's only a split second so it's not too noticeable
Camerawork - I think that we could have focused on the beat-boxing a tiny bit more, maybe by having a close up on Angelo mid-riffin'.
Editing - We probably could have made it a bit pacier. Also there are a few continuity errors, the main being Angelo having his hood up and down in consecutive shots.
Sound - Right at the end when the poet asks if the beat boxer knows when the next bus is, I think we could have made that a little bit louder.
POINTS FROM OTHER PEOPLE:
Positive -
"Good, original concept"
"Great characterisation"
"Authentic ambient sound"
Negative -
"The sound would have been better if it was natural sound rather than dubbing"
"Little parts were out of sync"
"Beat-boxing was too loud at the end, couldn't properly hear the peom's ending"
IF I'T'WERE'TO DO IT AGAIN:
I would maybe pick different, shorter ones. I think that ones we used were good, it's just it would have been better to be in the 90 second time frame.
